Lower Eyelid Aesthetics

Due to advancing age, genetic predisposition, and intense and stressful lifestyles, the connective tissue around the eyeball weakens and the fat pads slide forward and downward. As a result, bagging occurs in the lower part of our eye and pits are formed in the area just above the cheekbone that limits these bagging. If the patient does not have sagging skin, the bags are removed with a small incision made through the eyelid and a smooth appearance is given under the eye. If the patient's age has advanced and the skin has sagging, the excess skin is removed with a non-scarring incision made from the bottom of the eyelashes and a smooth appearance is given. Surgically damaged tissues are repaired and fat pads that cause bagging are removed and reshaped. The operation takes place under general anesthesia and takes an average of 1.5 hours. It is necessary to stay in the hospital for 1 day after the operation. Recovery time is on average 1 week.
