Revision Rhinoplasty

What is Revision Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is called Revision Rhinoplasty for patients who have undergone rhinoplasty before but are not satisfied with the result and whose health or visual impairment complaints continue. Although it is not very common after rhinoplasty operations, revision may be needed in some cases. Revision may be required in cases of low nose tip, narrowing, asymmetrical appearance, sagging. In addition, revision rhinoplasty may be required in case of collapse on the nasal dorsum, continuing arch appearance on the nasal dorsum, continuing deviation, development of excess scar tissue inside or outside the nose, swelling of the nasal meat and breathing. Revision Rhinoplasty Operations are more difficult than the first surgeries. At the end of an operation that takes an average of 3.5 - 4 hours and is performed under general anesthesia, patients must stay in the hospital for 1 day. Perforated silicone pads are placed in the nose, so that patients do not have breathing problems as of the first day. Tampons are removed after 5 days of rest. Depending on the skin structure and health condition of the patient, they can return to their normal lives after 10 days.
